非小细胞肺癌、慢性阻塞性肺疾病、肺炎、急性肺损伤、哮喘和肺纤维化等呼吸系统疾病是全球主要的健康
问题。铁死亡,一种依赖于细胞内Fe2+积累和脂质过氧化的新型程序性细胞死亡的方式,为这些肺部疾病的治疗提供了
新的靶点。研究显示,铁螯合剂、抗氧化剂能通过调节铁代谢和脂质过氧化从而影响细胞命运。研究铁死亡以及开发新
的干预策略,如针对铁死亡途径的小分子抑制剂,可能对改善肺部疾病的治疗效果有显著影响。该综述探讨了铁死亡在
肺部疾病中的作用及其治疗潜力,旨在为肺部疾病的治疗提供新的思路和见解。 |

Role of ferroptosis in the occurrence and progression of pulmonary diseases |

Abstract: |
Non-small cell lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, acute lung injury,
asthma, and pulmonary fibrosis are major global health issues. Ferroptosis, a novel form of programmed cell death dependent
on intracellular Fe2+ accumulation and lipid peroxidation, has provided new therapeutic targets for these pulmonary diseases.
Research indicates that iron chelators and antioxidants can influence cell fate by modulating iron metabolism and lipid
peroxidation. Investigating ferroptosis to develop new intervention strategies, such as small molecule inhibitors targeting the
ferroptosis pathway, could significantly improve treatment outcomes for pulmonary diseases. This review summarized the role
of ferroptosis in lung diseases and its therapeutic potential, aiming to offer new insights and perspectives for the treatment of
pulmonary disorders. |
