自尊在童年期不良经历和大学生社交回避与苦恼间的中介作用

摘要:
目的 探讨童年期不良经历(Adverse childhood experiences, ACEs)对大学生社交回避与苦恼的直接效应, 以及自尊在他们之间的中介效应。方法  采用童年期不良经历量表修订版、社交回避与苦恼量表及自尊量表对广东某 高校系统抽样选取的 250 名在校大学生进行问卷调查。结果 (1)ACEs与大学生社交回避与苦恼呈正相关(r=0.34, P<0.01)、与自尊呈负相关(r=-0.33,P<0.01)。大学生自尊和社交回避与苦恼呈负相关(r=-0.35,P<0.01)。(2)自尊在 ACEs和大学生社交回避与苦恼之间起部分中介作用,中介效应占比为 20.00%。结论 自尊在童年期不良经历和大学生 社交回避与苦恼之间起部分中介作用,提高大学生自尊有助于缓解ACEs给大学生在社交回避与苦恼方面带来的影响。

The mediating effect of self-esteem between adverse childhood experiences and social avoidance and distress among undergraduate students

Abstract:
Objectives To explore the relationship between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and social avoidance and distress among undergraduate students, especially the mediating effect of self-esteem among them. Methods We used the revised Adverse Childhood Experience questionnaire, Social Avoidance and Distress Scale and Self-esteem scale to test the relationship, and 250 undergraduate students were chosen by systematic sampling method from a university in Guangdong province. Results (1) Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) were positively correlated with social avoidance and distress (r=0.34, P<0.01), and negatively correlated with self-esteem among undergraduate students (r=-0.33, P<0.01); Self-esteem was negatively correlated with social avoidance and distress among undergraduate students (r=-0.35, P<0.01). (2) Self-esteem played a partial mediating role between adverse childhood experiences and social avoidance and distress among undergraduate students, and the mediating effect of self-esteem accounted for 20.00%. Conclusion Self esteem plays a partial mediating role between adverse childhood experiences and social avoidance and distress among undergraduate students. Improving self-esteem can alleviate the harm of ACEs on students’social avoidance and distress.
