Abstract:Since the concept of narrative medicine was proposed, it has profoundly catalyzed the actualization and evolution of medical humanities, attributable to its intrinsic linkage with medical practice. The parallel chart, as a vital method of cultivating and improving medical staff's humanity, has been also known, accepted and practiced. Parallel medical records differ from traditional clinical medical records in that their writing is intertwined with literary elements, necessitating the adoption of specific narrative modes and types as references and guidelines to follow. Via content analysis method, this paper described parallel charts published on Narrative Medicine objectively and systematically, studied their narrating modes and types and constructed the framework in order to help medical staff's writing to some extent.
