Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a hematologic malignancy derived from hematopoietic stem cells, with treatment difficulty and poor prognosis. Epigenetics plays an important role in the development and progression of leukemia. Histone methylation modification-associated genes and enzymes as therapeutic targets for AML have made great progress. This article briefly reviews the recent research progress of histone H3 lysine methyltransferase in AML.
