Abstract:Objective To analyze the research status and hotspots of 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) using CiteSpace. Methods 8-OHdG-related literature between 1996 and 2022 was retrieved from CNKI database, and analyzed by visualization analysis with CiteSpace software. Results A total of 652 articles were included, of which oxidative stress, oxidative damage and reactive oxygen species were the research hotspots. 8-OHdG was closely related to coronary heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and diabetes. Conclusion 8-OHdG serves as a testing index in most of the current studies. The exogenous 8-OHdG is expected to treat oxidative damage-related diseases.
